Brilliant hack of FOX news softcore clips - had no idea they were broadcasting this stuff. It was put together by Robert Greenwald of “Outfoxed”. Hear quotes from Anna Nicole “Blankety-Blank all over our bed” and what looked to me like those late night infomercials for “girls gone wild” grease videos. Who knew Bill O’Riley could be so much fun.

Canadian Spectrum Auction on track?


juust uncovered this article - interesting note for those of you that may be interested in Canada selling off even more of the spectrum. Rodgers may have lower prices for data OTA and we might actually get competitive services here….

US Wiretaps en masse with the help of AT&T

A retired AT&T employee, Mark Klein, has gone public with some very interesting information regarding our privacy via communications technology. We all imagined it mightbe happening, but also hoped it wasn’t true and we were all being paranoid. However, it seems on a certain level that out fears might be true - the US is playing big brother with our communications to quite a large degree. This news is breaking all over the place, newspapers, the net, tv. Above is a clip made by Senator Chris Dodd and below find some links to get you started down the rabbit hole.

SAVE THE DATE - RIP Analog TV

The CRTC has decided that Canadian television stations will have to switch off the analog over the air transmissions on August 31st, 2011. Yes, only digital broadcasts will be broadcast. The CRTC/Industry Canada has yet said what they plan to do with the portion of the spectrum that would be opened. Stay tuned for more on this issue here - that is if you can consider URLs tuning…sorta.
